Aside from players stealing the limelight, Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is also known to have produced some ace coaches that have gone to compete with the best from around the world.

The likes of Hassan Shehata, Herve Renard, Claude Le Roy, Stephen Keshi, Hugo Broos are among the finest to have graced the continent plus hold special memories among fans of the nations they guided to glory. 

Going into the AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire, 24 coaches will be treading the touchline as they dish out instructions to their team and perhaps run the tracks in some no-hold-barred celebration. 

Of the 24 coaches to be on parade at the AFCON, 15 are indigenous while 9 are foreign coaches:
