In line with activities to commemorate his 50th birthday, the former Chairman of the Projects Development Institute, Enugu (PRODA), Governing Board, and APC 2023 Senatorial Candidate for Benue South, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, today paid a courtesy visit to the Mother Theresa Children’s Home, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Accompanied by members of his family, friends, political associates and supporters, Com. Onjeh was received at the orphanage home at about 3pm, and he spent some time interacting with the children, who were all visibly excited by his visit.
During the visit, Com. Onjeh shared foodstuffs, sanitary and personal hygiene items, as well as a cash token with the kids. He equally offered prayers for continuous wellbeing, growth and development.
Com. Onjeh subsequently visited the Gwarinpa General Hospital at Life Camp, where he interacted with patients at the Children’s and Men’s Wards. He supported all the patients in both wards with various sums of money towards meeting the costs of their medical treatment.
Com. Onjeh also offered words of encouragement to the patients, and prayers for their complete and speedy recovery.
Next in the schedule of activities to commemorate the 50th birthday of the former President, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), is a Health Awareness Walk scheduled to commence at the Berger Roundabout in Wuse, tomorrow, Saturday, 16th December, 2023 at 8am.
The celebration shall be climaxed with a dinner and symposium on the theme, “The Imperative of Deepening Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria,” to be held on Sunday, 17th December, 2023 at the Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja), at 6pm.
The symposium hopes to have the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. Dr. George Akume, as the Chairman of the Occasion, with Dr. Salihu Moh. Lukman, former Vice Chairman (North West) of the APC, as Keynote Speaker.
