Onyebuchi Emmanuel Orakwelu, known by his stage name Otigba, is poised to take the music industry by storm with his unique blend of Afrobeat and cultural influences. Hailing from Agulu Anaocha in Anambra state, and born in Enugu State, Otigba brings a fresh perspective to the music scene.

In his 30s and currently based in Lagos state, Otigba’s musical journey began in 2017 when he started making music that resonated with listeners, prompting them to inquire about his original songs. His inspiration grew as he delved into studios, observing the production process and honing his craft.

The pivotal moment in Otigba career came with the guidance of Ekene Anaene, a studio engineer at Roger’s All Stars Recording Studio Umuokpu Awka. The collaboration opened doors for him, allowing him to create a sound that is both pure and soul-lifting.

“I draw inspiration from a diverse range of influences that shape my unique sound,” says Otigba. “From musical icons to cultural experiences, my upcoming project is a reflection of these varied inspirations. Collaborative endeavors and technological advancements also play a pivotal role in my music.”

With notable releases like “Ubi Ego” featuring Flavour, “Odogwu Di Na Obi” featuring Kcee, and the single “Unstoppable,” he has already made a mark in the industry. His performance at Flavour’s homecoming in Umunze, Anambra state on January 2nd, 2021, further solidified his status as a rising star.

Currently, Otigba is juggling both recording and touring, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft. Beyond music, Otigba is involved in various related projects, including organizing shows.
