Italian side AC Milan will visit PSG for the third round of the group F stage fixtures on Wednesday evening.

Undoubtedly labeled as the Group of Death, there have been a few moments of surprises and shocks as Dortmund and AC Milan are only with one and two points, respectively, after Newcastle carted away with all three points convincingly against Paris Saint-Germain.

With just three points, PSG will host AC Milan, who have failed to win following stalemates from Newcastle and Dortmund. PSG will hope the odds favor them today after a series of ups and downs this season. They sit third in their league standings with just five wins from nine games and recently returned to winning ways just before the international break.

Bar their disappointing run in the UCL, AC Milan are enjoying quite a fairytale of a season. They trail Inter-Milan by a single point and have won seven of their nine matches. They will be hoping to return to winning ways after a difficult 0-1 home loss to third-placed Juventus.

Team news

Ousmane Dembele, Achraf Hakimi, Layvin Kurzawa, and Randal Kolo Muani all return from suspension for the match against Milan, having missed out on the team’s 3-0 victory on Saturday.

However, injuries have ruled out Presnel Kimpembe (Achilles) and Nuno Mendes (hamstring), and Marco Asensio’s participation is questionable because of a foot issue.

For Stefano Pioli’s side, the most prominent absence is Ismael Bennacer, as the Algerian midfielder is still recovering from a knee injury. Bennacer is on the sidelines with Ruben Loftus-Ceek (muscle injury), Samuel Chukwueze (thigh), Mattia Caldara (ankle), and Marco Sportiello (calf).

Predictions 

Both teams will be hoping to keep up with the pace of Newcastle and will be slugging it out for a win. Both teams have an attacking department that can score goals.
