In recognition of her outstanding works in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, Founder and CEO of Blockvila Limited, Precious Wogu, was awarded the 2023 Blockchain Leadership Excellence Award by the Stakeholders in Blockchain Association of Nigeria (SiBAN).
Presented during the Digital Asset Summit held in Lagos on September 6th and 7th, 2023, the accolade honours individuals who have made significant strides in the advancement of blockchain technology in Nigeria.
Wogu delicately blends her technical expertise and entrepreneurial skills with her passion for advocacy and education to carve a distinct path for herself in the blockchain sector. She has built Blockvila into one of Nigeria’s leading DeFi service provider, providing users with a platform to harness the potential of digital assets while championing user trust and great experience.
Driving Change in Blockchain
Blockvila Limited has become a name that resonates in many households of cryptocurrency users under the leadership of Precious. This is a company much adored for value emphasis when it comes to secure transactions, transparency, and user education, which thus forms the core of its operations. However, Precious effect is way beyond Blockvila.
Precious has been a longtime and active member of SiBAN, proving instrumental to the output of the larger ecosystem surrounding blockchain in Nigeria. To her credit, one of the fundamental successes is involvement with SiBAN in the Compliance and Recognition Initiative. Wogu would also opine that for Africa to exhaustively tap on the available potential in blockchain technology, there should be increased global collaboration, hence her international representation of Nigeria at blockchain conferences in a bid to bring local talent to mainstream global opportunities.
These all add to her standing acclaims, including the Blockchain People’s Choice Leader Award in 2020. Hence, it makes her not just a visionary but also an industry-revered person.
