TikTok has now become a popular promotional tool for Artists who want to break barriers with their music. These artists have used the “hashtag Challenge” Culture as a direct or indirect promotional tool for their music and have succeeded in it.
TikTok is a Chinese video-sharing social networking service owned by ByteDance, a Beijing-based internet technology company founded in 2012 by Zhang Yiming. It is used to create short dance, lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos.
Being a random video-creation and social networking platform that give users the tools to create short videos about random topics, Tiktok has now become one of the promotional strategies most Nigerian artists use.
Artists now consider TikTok as a promotional strategy that they can use to get their songs out to the masses.
