Techpreneur, Mr. Shakiru Kolawole Adepoju, has expressed agreement with Nigeria’s IT industry watchers that the growing Business Process Outsourcing, BPO, market can reach $280 million value.
He said Nigeria’s IT industry is at the forefront of its technological evolution, offering a robust ecosystem encompassing IT outsourcing and a wide range of tech solutions and service providers.
It had been projected that with a revenue of $2.28 billion and a market volume of $0.81 billion in 2023, Nigeria’s IT Services and Outsourcing sector are positioned for significant growth and innovation.
Also, Nigeria’s tech solutions and service providers have become prominent, offering diverse services such as virtual customer care representatives and assistants.
According to GBS World Blog (2021), Call Centre Services is a growing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) division, with BPO having a market estimate of $280 million.
It has about 16,540 agents and knowledge process workers servicing the domestic and international markets.
Individual businesses under BPO are relatively small, employing 51 to 100 call centre agents.
Reacting to the projections, Adepoju, a distinguished techpreneur who owns one of Nigeria’s most innovative tech solutions providers, IQI Technology, said providers leverage technology to enhance customer experiences, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to businesses success.
According to him, his company’s “contribution to Business Process Outsourcing, BPO,” saves cost and raises the brand perception of customers.
His words: “IQI Technology is an innovative telecommunications technology company that provides three main onshore and offshore services: IP Desktop Phone, Virtual Receptionist, and Call Center Services.
“The Virtual Receptionist service saves an organization a lot of money because the business does not require a physical premise to carry out its operations.
“A business with a physical premise may decide to save the cost of hiring a staff, its welfare, and utility bills. Our Virtual Receptionists are experienced and well-trained in this field as they make small businesses seem like big ones.
“We offer affordable packages and hope to add value to all business sizes. Entrepreneurs and large corporate organizations that have used our services have realized the value-added services we are providing and are happy.”
He agreed that the IT industry, propelled by the thriving BPO division and the emergence of tech solution providers, is witnessing remarkable growth.
“With a positive revenue projection by 2023, Nigeria is poised to become a significant player in the global IT services market.
“By embracing innovation, reducing the burden on SMEs, and fostering business advancement, Nigeria can forge ahead in its technological evolution with companies like IQI Technology to drive economic progress and establish itself as a hub of tech excellence,” he added.
