Nigerian ace producer and the craft maker of trending Davido’s “Unavailable” hit, Ikechukwu Clinton Nnaemeka also known as Ragee has reminisced about his first major production, “Have Fun” by Bad Boy Timz.
According to the producer, Bad Boy Timz’s “Have Fun” pioneered his beat production breakthrough in the entertainment world.
Speaking about how he met Nigerian singer Bad Boy Timz, Ragee emphasised on networking as a significant milestone to success. He added that his networking prowess pushed him to meeting Timz.
“I met Badboy Timz at the Mainland Block Party and I just spoke with him. I told him I am music producer and we exchanged contacts and then I sent him a couple of beats,” he disclosed.
“But we didn’t really click then until a year later, he pulled up at my studio and I played him that “Have Fun” beat, I just went inside and when I came back and he has already recorded the hit song.”
“He went on live video and everyone was going mad on the song. He is actually like the first major artist that I produced for,” he said.
Ragee is responsible for one of the most resonating taglines in Afrobeats culture today –
“initiating rage process”, and he has developed a clinical approach to crafting hit records.
The producer/songwriter is known for his uncanny ability to craft chart toppers across multiple genres.
Since this big break, he has worked on several top records like Oshey Boys which he co-produced with Magicsticks for Mayorkun. The song recorded moderate success on the Apple Music charts and led up to even more acclaim for Rage.
Ragee continues to work with top artistes like Zinoleesky, Boy Spyce, Ayra Starr, Young John and several more.
