No need crucifying Elumelu for receiving Tinubu in his home - Sani

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has warned those criticizing Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA), Tony Elumelu for hosting President-Elect, Bola Tinubu in his home to desist from such.

A video of Elumelu receiving Tinubu in his home in Lagos had gone viral on Wednesday with people expressing diverse views.

Recall that Tinubu was last Wednesday declared winner of the presidential poll held nationwide on February 25.

Atiku finished second behind the former Governor of Lagos State, with Peter Obi of the Labour Party finishing third. Both Atiku and Obi have rejected the results and are challenging it in court.

However, in a reaction to the criticisms greeting Elumelu’s hosting of Tinubu in his home, the former lawmaker in a tweet via his verified Twitter handled said Elumelu is not a politician but a businessman and is free to associate with the President-Elect pending when the court cases will be decided.
