Arbond Harvest and Home Limited, a Lagos based real estate company , is set to stage a rally tomorrow , to sensitise Nigerians on the need to see agriculture as part of investment in real estate.
The rally tagged ‘ Uniqueness of our Nation in terms of agriculture’ , is aimed among other benefits, to help Nigerians irrespective of age and social status, generate wealth and secure future space for the next generation.
Briefing journalists at a press conference in Lagos, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arbond Harvest and Homes Limited, Mr. Oluwagbemiga Adekoya , explained that the annual rally was initiated owing to ignorance of some Nigerians to developing areas usually considered as farmland.
He disclosed that “during a research conducted between 2015 and 2017, it was discovered that a lot of families did not recognise agriculture as real estate .
” Therefore, we are looking at how we can make this count and how we can create a solution. We noticed that one of the immediate need of families is basically owing properties of theirs.
“ So ,we help them buy what we call agro to home that we actually do at Arbond Harvest and Homes as a metrics of helping families to actually secure future space
” When we look at a place one generation called home today, it was what some generations used as farmland, while where the current generation is calling farm is what the next generation will use as home.
” So, we are engaging this simple environment for farming for those who key I to our project , whereby they might make little inflow that will become something massive with a computing interest rate over time”.
He further stated that the company had fulfilled some sustainable development goals such as” Zero hunger, No Poverty, Decent work and economic growth, gender equality, Sustainable cities and communities”.
To this end, he said the real estate company had secured future space for over 2000 households since inception and had also contributed to the socio-economic growth of the nation with the employment of over 1000 youths.
To make the project easy for prospective Nigerians, Oluwagbemiga, informed that “we have agricultural partners that are working with us.
” One of our sites is located in Obafemi Owode local council around Governor’s road, towards Abeokuta and one in Lagelu local council in Ibadan, Oyo state currently. We also have one at Mojoda, Epe, Lagos.
“ Initially we were focusing on acres until we realised Nigerians were not ready for that. So, we decided to also sell in plots”.
To enable every Nigerian key into the project, he said prospective buyers could pay instalmentally and as low and N12,500 monthly and could also buy half a plot.
On her part, the co-founder, Arbond Harvest and Homes, Mrs. Omowunmi Oluwagbemiga, highlighted other programmes lined up for the year to include : Arbond Green wealth summit slated for October 3, 2022; launch of ‘my country home ‘on October 20 , novelty match to promote national peace, Arbond gala and Villa owners night, among others.
She said, “We have plans to spread more of our values across the globe where we impact the lives of people looking for ways to increase the quality of their livelihood.
“ In addition we are open to more partnership to the healthy growth of our nation Nigeria. Within that framework we are continuing to devote a lot of attention to sustainable initiative through means of propagating the agricultural sector, hence we pivot and promote agro to home initiative in Nigeria.
“So, we are looking at how we can tell people despite the fact that you are a medical doctor, a legal practitioner or media professionals, owning a farm as small as a plot can contribute to the nation that will help improve the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).”
