.. As Ovili, Gbasky, Skala, Akpos-Ghana, others dumps PDP for APC
A massive earthquake has hit Ukwuani chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as Chief Gibson Ovili, Comr. Gbaskey, Akpos Ghana, many others today dumped the PDP for the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Making the announcement during a meeting with the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, Chief Gibson Ovili who spoke on behalf of the delegation said they decided to join the All Progressive Congress because of Osanebi’s personality.
According to Chief Ovili, Ebedei ward three in Ukwuani local government area has always supported the Peoples Democratic Party, sadly the people has nothing tangible to show today for their loyalty to the decimated umbrella party.
Comr. Ovili while announcing a donation of one thousand high quality T-shirts to support the campaign of Agege and Osanebi, said he will take it upon himself to galvanize the party in his ward.
Speaking also, the APC ward three chairman, Chukwunalu Isaac, said when he emerged as chairman of the ward, party cards in his possession were left laying fallow, but since Osanebi’s emergence as Deputy Governorship Candidate of the APC, he has exhausted all with many new members waiting on the queue.
Earlier, Comr. Gbaskey, Akpos Ghana and Chief Skala declared their allegiance to Omo-Agege, Osanebi, APC, making a firm promise that they will support the All Progressive Congress with all arsenals at their disposal.
Osanebi who was joined in the meeting by Comr. David Ochonogor, APC House of Assembly Candidate for Ukwuani Constituency, while responding said he will make Ukwuani proud when he is elected alongside his principal, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege in the March polls of next year.
Two time ward three chairman of PDP, Eddie Ozegbe, community leader Isaac Chuks were amongst those that defected from the PDP to APC.
