Martin Braithwaite will not leave Barcelona until the club fulfils all its financial obligations to him.

Sporta, a Spanish publication, reports that Braithwaite is refusing to leave the club this summer because of a reduction in the money he is owed.

The Dane has a contract with Barcelona until 2024 having joined from Leganes in 2020.

Braithwaite is believed to have rejected what the report describes as a letter of freedom that allows him decide his own fate.

The former Middlesbrough man has instead demanded to be paid his full salary for the remainder of his deal before he leaves the club.

It had been reported towards the end of last season that Braithwaite had told manager Xavi that he wished to stay and fight for his place in the team.

Barcelona will need to let go of some players to enable them register new signings Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski ahead of LaLiga’s August 13 deadline.
