Police Declare Generator Repairer Wanted for Murder, Others

The Nigeria Police Force has declared a Lagos-based generator repairer and engineer, Jamiu Adisa Aina, wanted over alleged involvement in murder, oil theft, and vandalism in Delta State.

According to the spokesman for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, the declaration follows Jumiu Aina’s dramatic escape from police custody weeks ago, prompting a manhunt and the release of a Special Police Gazette Bulletin.

The suspect, aged 46, is a native of Abeokuta in Ogun State, and reportedly committed the alleged crimes on July 9, 2022, in one of the oil-rich communities in Delta State.

Police described Jamiu Adisa Aina as black complexion, black eyes, has black and white hair, 169 height, Yoruba by tribe and his last known address was 12, Denedo Street, Itire, Surulere, Lagos.

“Efforts are ongoing to recapture the suspect, and we urge members of the public to assist with credible information that could lead to his arrest,” the police stated.

The Delta State Police Command, under the authority of the Commissioner of Police, has asked that any individual who sights the suspect should immediately report to the nearest police station or contact the Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, Okpanam Road, Asaba.

“If seen, arrest and hand him over to the nearest police station or office the Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command Headquarters, Asaba, Delta State or call 09028784164,” the police urged in the gazette.

The police official gazette is published along this story to aid public recognition of the suspect and prompt action.
