The death toll in the Adamawa communal clash has continued to rise, even as more clashes are intensified.
The communal clash which broke out yesterday is between Lungudas in Adamawa and the Wajas in Gombe state.
Latest reports indicate that more casualties have been recovered as the fighting continues used in the hinterland between Guyuk and Lamurde in Adamawa and their warring neighbouring communities in Gombe state.
The crisis which broke out in Lafiya Lamurde in Adamawa state co inhibited by the two tribes is now spreading to the border communities of the two states as security forces deployed there have restored peace where the skirmishes started.
Security sources indicated that more bodies are been recovered from both sides of the troubled areas ad efforts are ongoing to restore complete peace.
The communal conflict between the Lungudas in Adamawa and Wajas in Gombe has persisted for decades.
