Publisher of GbaramatuVoice, Mr Jacob Abai has unveiled the Niger Delta Awards categories for 2022 of the medium, calling for nominations for the various categories.

in a press statement made available to the Vanguard Newspaper, Mr Abai said the nominees should be Niger Deltans and friends of Niger Delta that have made extraordinary contributions to humanity in any field from any part of the continent.

“The award covers the work done between June 1, 2021 and June 1, 2022. Presentation ceremony for the 2022 edition of the award will hold in Abuja on August 11, 2022. Nomination closes Saturday, June 25, 2022.”

“The 42 categories for nominations are :
Governor of the Year, Man of the Year, Woman of the year , Senator of the Year, Minister of the Year ,Lifetime Achievement Award, Political Personality of the Year, Public Servant of the Year (Fed).Public Servant of the Year (State),Commissioner of the Year.”

Others are : Oil & Gas Man of the Year, Federal Lawmaker of the Year,State Legislator of the Year,Best Local Government Chairman of the Year,Grassroot Sport Development Personality of the Year,Youth Personality of the Year,Humanitarian Service Award, Entrepreneur of the Year,Journalist of the Year, ICT Personality of the Year,Company of the Year ,CSR & Community Development Impact Award,Artiste of the Year, Film Maker of the Year, Philanthropist of the Year,Young Business Leader of the Year,Media Personality of the Year,Brand of the Year, CEO of the Year,Public Administrator of the Year.

The award categories also include : Best Radio Station of the Year, Newspaper of the Year, Television station of the Year, Photography brand of the Year, University of the Year, Fashion House of the Year, Hospitality Brand of the Year, Social media Personality of the Year , Real Estate Personality of the Year , Real Estate Company of the Year, NGO of the Year and Blockchain Technology Brand of the year.

Publisher, Abai said nominations should be sent to the paper , adding that self nomination was also expected.

“Nomination for anyone, some or all of the categories may be sent by email to: [email protected]. Nominations should clearly state full names of nominee and category of nomination and should be accompanied by supporting evidence in the form of documents, online links, videos, etc. “

He said anybody and organizations could make nominations.
