” He must have observed that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar , governor Aminu Tambowa and other Muslim politicians in the north that were also conferred with chieftaincy titles do not go about with Turban as their campaign outfit. “.
” Those who gave him Turban should have explained to him that it is not to be used for political campaign or as a campaign outfit. . It is not for political campaign .”
” Turban is a strong symbol of Islam . Am sure you have not seen any muslim using it for campaign. He should keep Turban aside and play politics. “
” I know he was given a title but it is not an outfit for campaign. He should drop it “, he stressed.
” Amaechi should know that Muslims in Rivers were not happy when his government in the state then took over the cemetery marked for northerners in Port Harcourt. So Muslims in his state who saw him in Turban drew my attention to it as Arewa leader in the South and said I should let him know that it is not a campaign outfit. “.
