The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) in Nasarawa State has suspended two senior officers over alleged misconduct, a statement by its Executive Secretary, Mr Isa Ebini-Kana, said in Lafia on Friday.
It said that the officers – Mr Abdullahi Ahmed-Sani, Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice, and Mr Edward Ali-Liman, Deputy Chief Registrar (Personnel) – were suspended following an emergency meeting of the commission on Thursday.

“The JSC deliberated on the allegations of misconduct against the two officers and suspended them to pave way for proper investigation without interference.
“Mrs Esther Mami-Ejeh, Chief Registrar, Customary Court of Appeal, will act as Chief Registrar while Mrs Hadiza Abubakar, Deputy Chief Registrar, Magistrates Affairs, at the High Court, will act for the Deputy Chief Registrar (Personnel),” it said.
He advised staffers of the Judiciary and the general public not to have any business with the suspended officers until the issues were cleared.
