Nigerian artiste Clifford Dickson Idemive with stage name JargoKush has  reacted to how the global music industry bowed to the gruesome effect of COVID-19.

The South Africa-based act lamented how the recording sector resorted to other [digital] means to stay afloat, while the live sector has submitted to inactivity. 

According to him, Afrobeat, the numbers recorded on digital platforms are not much while the online shows cannot be compared to live performance.

The Kush Empire Entertainment record label boss also said he cannot wait to get pass the phase and hit the stage again to thrill his fans.

“COVID-19 really did a number on the live event aspect of music which is a very lucrative part of the music business,” he said.

“I wouldn’t lie it hasn’t been easy coping with just streaming and a few online live streaming shows, but I hope things go back to normal and I can go back on stage and performing for my KUSHERZ.

“Because there is nothing like being in front of a live crowd, dancing, and singing-along to your songs,” he concluded.
