Photography is the most basic form of art because it radiates the beauty in every human being in only one or two shots.

However, until Afrobeats had become America’s hottest new addiction, DrDrummerd, a Nigerian photographer, was spotted photographing the future leaders of the Afrobeat progression.

He has experienced the power of songs such as Wizkid’s 2014 ‘Ojuelegba’ which the icon refers to as “the national anthem.” Following the details of “Tour Tales,” DrDrummerd goes on to describe shooting Burna Boy’s first New York City concert, then hopping on a last-minute plane ride to memorialize a Davido live performance, and how Wizkid and his Disc jockey changed his perspective.

DJ Tunez was DrDrummerd’s first successful artist he ever caught on camera live. “He’s a global DJ as well as Wizkid’s DJ.””This was in January 2017.” He was attending an event one evening when I asked if I could take photos of him for the day. “Yeah, let’s do it,” he said. “I knew it was takeover era when I shot him,” he continued.

DrDrummerd claims it was his first moment experimenting with his appearance through photography. He mentioned the same year that Wiz went on the ‘Sounds from the Other Side Tour’ in July. He took him on tour and they played a few shows together. He did recall, however, that they did a D.C. show and that it was his first time shooting for both of them. Before that, he was filming Burna Boy.

As a result, DrDrummerd’s first show was shot in New York. In March, he also shot a few shows with Mr. Eazi while he was promoting his big song “Skin Tight.”

According to him, he shot Burna in April 2017. He purports to be Nigerian and comes from a Nigerian family, so he has invariably started listening to Afrobeats artists, including Burna Boy.

“For him to come to America at that time was indeed a huge thing for Nigeria because he was one of the artists who was consistent with his music but had never had the opportunity to come over to the United States”, he added.
