The State Government inaugurated the panel last month, barely six days after the building caved in killing no fewer than 20 persons including pupils of Ohen Nursery and Primary school.

A source, close to the Commissioner for the Ministry, told Vanguard that the panel submitted its report eight days after for the State Government to deliberate on it and issue a White Paper on how best to prevent collapse building.

According to the source, the panel submitted its report to the ministry on April 10th, 2019, for onward implementation of recommendations contained in the report.

Another source disclosed that the ministry has not received the approval to make the report public.

It was gathered that the ministry could commence work on the recommendations made by the panel which would be used to issue a White Paper to stem the tide of building collapse in Lagos.

A member of the panel had earlier told Vanguard that the report was delayed to allow thorough investigation because there was need for them to examine the outcome of all tests conducted on materials collected from the site.
