Technical Adviser of Edo Queens football club Benin, Godwin Izilein, has told the players to be ready to prove themselves as the state is not willing to condole any act of indiscipline from them.
Izilien gave this warning over the week while addressing the players on the need for them to justify reasons why they are being paid salaries by the state government.
He said that the only way to get government attention to the club is when the team is getting good results.
“Look this is not the time to gossip or do things that would not benefit the team. What is required now is total commitment from all members of this team. Anybody that is feeling too big to take to instruction should be ready to go. You either give us results or be ready to be fired. The time of jokes, play and laxity are over for all of us including members of the management team.”
“One thing you all must know is that government can only answer us when we are getting good results, you cannot expect government to break bank for you when you are turning in bad results, so we all must be ready to work and tell ourselves that we want to achieve results.”
“We have also lined up a number of friendly matches for us in preparation for the uphill task that is ahead of us. Very soon the female League would commence across the country.
