The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in the 19 Northern States and Abuja, Rev. Yakubu Pam has challenged elected governors in states to put their acts together and hit the ground running once they are sworn-in in their respective states so as to bring development to the citizens.
Rev Pam, in a statement issued in Jos, the Plateau State capital said all the states in the North are in dire need of development, stressing that with the right policies that address the needs of the people, the ongoing crisis in some states of the North will come to an end.
He maintained that each of the governors in the region, must as a matter of seriousness “take the issue of security of lives and properties of the people of their states as number one priority to avoid the ugly incidences of the recent past where many lives and properties of the people were lost to attacks and killings of the people by merchants of death masquerading all over the villages and communities of the North under whatever guise.”
