PORT HARCOURT – Young Leaders for Good Leadership in Rivers State, has said the people of the state would ever remain grateful to the former governor of the state and the minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, for his outstanding developmental projects in the state.

Amaechi
The President of the body, Engr. Nsirimovu Worlu, made this statement in Port Harcourt yesterday, while reacting to a statement by Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, the Special Assistant to Governor Nyesom Wike on Electronic Media, claiming that Amaechi was trying to rob people of the state their electoral right.
Simeon had said: “That Rivers people will emerge victorious in the coming days is a function of the power of the people, their foresight and their insistence on electing their own leaders, irrespective of state violence deployed by the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who had the tacit endorsement of the powers that be.”
However, Worlu, noted that Rivers State will emerge victorious at the end of the poll, because they are tired of the level of insecurity, poor education and infrastructural decay in the state under the present administration of Chief Nyesom Wike.
He said: “Firstly, Mr Simeon has admitted the fact that Rivers people will emerge victorious in the coming days and their insistence on electing their own leaders against Insecurity in the state, lack of employment generation for the people in four years, No free education nor policy to drive the sector, No scholarship for Rivers students rather many sent abroad to study by the Amaechi government where returned, Secret Budget, Dying Health System and so on orchestrated by the current government of PDP in Rivers State.
“Rivers people will rather be grateful to Rotimi Amaechi or whosoever that will or has taken it as a burden to liberate the people through support for a better governor which definitely will emerge through electoral process and people’s votes.”
Worlu exonerated the military of they accusation that they disrupted the collation process, adding that the allegations came following refusal of the Army to accept alleged bribe from Wike.
“In as much as I will not speak for the Army, it is also in the public domain of the Army’s reaction to your alarm and I will urge you to do justice to Rivers people by explaining the audio clip released by the Army on your failed efforts to bribe the Army into doing your evil biding.
“Rivers people rejected the Wike’s government which you are part of to embrace Engr. Biokpmabo Awara, the AAC Guber Candidate whom you claim never campaigned and is unknown to the state,” he said.
