Nineteen Youth Foundation organized its career day event for public schools in Eti Osa, under Education district 111. The first of its kind, it had over 15 schools and 350 students in attendance.
The event tagged “MIND EMPOWERMENT”, was graced by the high and mighty from diverse industries, with wealth of experiences like the former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Femi Pedro, Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola, Kayode Ogunleye – HR Director of Shell Petroleum, Bisola Runsewe – MD Squeaky Clean Services, UN Ambassador – Utchay Odims, Mrs. Ngozi Princewill Utchay – Etiquette Coach among others.
The speakers spoke to the children about choosing the right careers and the need to first discover themselves and what they are passionate about. The kids were also charged to pursue their academics seriously, work harder, gain exposure, learn different skills and live above the status quo.
Nineteen Youth Foundation is co-founded by Mrs. Biola Adegbuyi – a lawyer and entrepreneur; and Chichi Umeseaka, a Teen’s Coach, Inspiration FM OAP, AIT TV show host and Special Adviser to Abia State Governor.
The event was sponsored by Red carpet hall and supported by Oyo State Governor
