Group seeks level playing field for women

GREAT PLACE TO WORK Nigeria has called for a level playing field for women even as it expressed support for the International Women’s Day 2019.

Great Place to Work Nigeria, a part of the global Great Place To Work International network in over 60 countries worldwide, said it  is pleased to identify with this year’s theme, ‘Balance For Better,’

The company in a statement said: “We are excited and identify with the numerous achievements of women all over the world and will leverage on it, as a fully inclusive and gender-sensitive global consulting firm, to develop schemes and work programs, in line with the objectives of bridging gender disparity.

AXA Mansard celebrates International Women’s Day

“It is already an established fact that women, like their male counterparts, have made and continue to make immense contributions and attain many developmental strides in all professions. They clearly demonstrate and prove their fortitude in management, sciences and the arts, and have held sway in research and other endeavours that were hitherto, or so it seemed, the preserve of men. Even in the military that had long been restrictive, the womenfolk have since broken the glass ceiling and are now featuring in combat roles. Kudos Women!

“At Great Place To Work Nigeria, we believe that the time is far gone that women should be confined to any specific roles on account of gender consideration. It is time to create a levelling playing field for women but more importantly, valuing and recognizing their contributions to Corporate Nigeria

“At Great Place to Work, as the year unfolds, we will be recognizing Women Leaders in Nigeria and around the world, in all industries across all sectors. We will be celebrating their exceptional contribution in their industries as well as in their immediate community and beyond.

“Great Place To Work in partnership with CFA Society of Nigeria will also be recognizing organizations with best practices for women in the financial industries in      2019 at our annual awards.   We are very in tune with the need to appreciate the immense contributions women bring to the corporate world and they deserve every recognition.

“Going forward, Great Place to Work Nigeria will be looking towards collaborating with women organisations to ensure that female employees at various levels of employment have their fair share of rewards and that they are not in any way disadvantaged or discriminated against on gender-related considerations.’’

“Great Place to Work Nigeria will employ its vast experience and exposure, as an internationally acclaimed consulting firm, to ensure that relevant organizational policies on inclusion, learning and development schemes and programmes are designed and disseminated to properly recognize and support the well-deserved role of women in growing corporate organizations.  We celebrate women worldwide on this day and indeed every day.”
