Edo traditional ruler kidnapped

The Enogie (traditional) of Ukhiri in lkpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, HRH Godwin Aigbe Osayande, has been kidnapped by gunmen.


The heavily-armed five-man gang stormed his Ukhiri palace on Benin-Abraka Road and shot sporadically into the air before abducting him from his living room to an unknown destination.

The hoodlums, who came with an unregistered car, were said to have completely burnt down their own car and left the Enogie’s palace with his Nissan Sunny car, while the Benin traditional ruler was placed at the back seat as they zoomed off.

He was said to have been taken through the Abraka Road end towards Delta State.

The Enogie is a retired Police Chief before ascending to the throne of his fathers. The Police has since moved into action with a view to rescuing him unhurt.
