Nigeria Football Federation will arrange two more friendly games for the Super Eagles before the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The Super Eagles squared up with the AFCON hosts, Egypt yesterday in Asaba, and according to a communique released by the NFF executive committee, the next FIFA window of June 3 and June 11 will be used to arrange matches for the Eagles. The 32nd edition of the AFCON in Egypt will hold from June 15 to July 13.

“After expressing its commitment to give maximum support to the prorgamme of the technical crew in order to ensure victory for Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Egypt this summer, the Board approved that the Super Eagles play two more friendly matches during the FIFA –free window before the championship,” the communique read.

“Committee reiterated an earlier position that Nigeria National Teams would always compete favourably for honours at major championships, and not attend simply to make up the number.”
