Diaspora support group under the aegis of ‘Buhari Action Group’ (BAG) and ‘Buhari Support Organisation’ (BSO) based in the Texas, United State of America has pledged their unflinching support to the Nigeria president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressive Congress APC, and heartily congratulates him in the just concluded 2019 presidential election.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the chairman of the two group in Houston Texas, USA, Sir Andrew Okokhere stated that in a bid to identify with the good aspirations of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration over the last four years, the group welcomes with great delight the landslide victory by the APC presidential candidate, Buhari, saying it is an evidence that President Buhari has performed absolutely well during the last period.

The statement further stressed that despite all odds including political and security challenges posed by the kidnapping and Boko Haram insurgence in the North-East of the country and others, the landslide victory is a clear indication that people welcomed his corrupt-free administration in a free and fair election. He also stated that although, four years may not be enough to purge corruption out that has ravaged the country for decades, giving him another chance may witness a milestone in reducing the scourge, if not near elimination.

Sir Okokhere also stated that President Buhari should embrace all inclusive government to achieve a national agenda. He also advised the President to engage Nigerian professionals living in Diaspora for an efficient disposition of expertise garnered over time in an international exposure to help his administration.

“We have Nigerian professionals in various fields, ranging from medical personnel, engineers, scientists and arts including Tourism which I have been involved for many decades in the United States, living outside the shore of the country. It is time to call back these best brains which the country has over time lost to foreign countries, to return and rebuild the country,” says Sir Andrew Okhokere.

Sir Andrew Okokhere who has bagged many international awards and recognition by the US government in tourism and African culture promotions reiterated the Diaspora experts’ readiness to partner with Buhari government for a better rebranded Nigeria. “We are very willing to return and partner with the Buhari government to make the country better,” concludes Sir Okokhere.
