The Military said they have repelled the Armed members of dreaded Boko Haram sect that invaded Michika town of Adamawa state late Monday night shooting sporadically at innocent residents, which led to many fleeing into the bush for safety.

Michika is one of the populated towns in the state where some wards in the community were declared inconclusive during the March 9 the gubernatorial election and marked for a re-run on Saturday 23rd March 2019.
According to locals from Michika, the whole town is under heavy attacks including explosions suspected to be bomb blasts and shooting using machine guns and other sophisticated weapons from the side of the terrorists.

Although the locals could not give the casualty figures, from all indications, the terrorists came in full force to wreak havoc on the community.
It was confirmed that one of the old generation bank, the only bank operating in the local government was destroyed and ransacked by the insurgents.
Michika is located North of Adamawa state capital which shares a border with some fringes of Sambisa forest that had harboured the terrorists since the Military dislodged the major operational bases of the insurgents across the North East.
