The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, was in early lead in the results of 19 local governemnt areas already declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday.

While the APC candidate polled 205,200 votes the Allied Peoples Movement’s candidate, Adekunle Akinlade, scored 194,294 votes.

Also, candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Gboyega Isiaka, scored 97,721 votes, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Buruji Kashamu, polled 66,715 votes.

The APC won 12 LGAs, the APM won four, the ADC won two and PDP won one LGA .
