Policeman, 26 others killed in fresh Kaduna’s Kajuru attack

Kaduna – Details have emerged that as many as 27 persons may have been killed in Kajuru communities in an apparent reprisal attack following the killings two weeks ago.

Sources in the community as well as military men deployed to the area after the attack said among the dead was a policeman and 26 others while two police inspectors have been declared missing.

It was gathered that the twenty seven bodies have been recovered in the villages attacked by gunmen in Kajuru and Kachia Local Governments of Kaduna State by security men deployed to the area

The Four communities that were attacked included Karamai, Gidan Gajere, Gidan Auta and Chibiya all under Maro, a border town between Kajuru and Kachia Local Governments.

It was gathered that as soon as news of the attack filtered into the state capital, a combined team of security agencies were deployed to the place and were able to go into the villages where the bodies were recovered

Most of the bodies, it was gathered, were found mainly in Karamai and Gidan Auta villages.

It was learnt from another source that over 40 houses were burnt in the affected communities.
