THE People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has won the Saturday presidential, Senate and House of Representatives polls in Onna local government area of Akwa Ibom state where governor Udom Emmanuel hails from.

According to the final results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC at the Local Government collation centre, presidential candidate of the PDP polled a total of 23, 834 votes while President Muhammadu Buhari polled a total of 678 votes.

For the Akwa Ibom south Senate seat (Eket Senatorial district) Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi of the PDP polled 24,157 votes while the incumbent Senator, of the APC, polled 673.
Also for the House of Representatives seat comprising Eket, Onna, Esit Eket, and Ibeno local government areas, Pat Ifon of the PDP scored 24, 317 to win the candidate of the APC who scored only 581 votes.
Although the scores from all the 10 Federal constituencies are yet to be declared by INEC, reports from the areas indicate that the PDP won all Senate and House of Representatives seats in the state.
