The MANAGING Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman has urged host communities of the Warri Port to support revival of business at the Port, by cooperating with operators at the port.

Speaking at the Port in Warri, Delta State, during the formal handing over ceremony of the Old Warri terminal B to Ocean and Cargo Terminal Services Limited, Usman who was represented by the Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Mr Seconte Davies said the Federal Government will continue to provide the enabling environment for the place to record economic boost in its operations.

Also speaking, Manager of NPA, Warri,  Mr Simon Okeke  commended the Federal Government for dredging the Excravos bar –  Warri  Port, adding that he will give all needed assistance to  investors for the terminal to work.

He said with investors already on ground to operate the terminal, economic activities will take off soon in the place.

Group Managing Director, Sifa Group, Mr Adekunle Oyinloye assured that they will keep to every promise made, adding that Ocean and Cargo  Terminal Services will deliver efficiently in the running of the port  to the admiration of all.

He said Ocean and Cargo  Terminal Services are indigenous companies that are major players in the maritime industry, adding that some of the companies have been in business for about three decades.

He said: “We will be calling this enviable pedigree to make a difference in terms of efficient customer, massive investment in human capital and equipment, strict adherence to concession agreement and partnership with regulatory agencies.”

He also said they will relate cordially with host communities, adding that they were also in business to create a robust economy for the host communities and the nation.
