LAFIA—–AS early as 6am  over 500 out of 1,143 voters had lined up at governor Umaru  Tanko Almakura polling unit waiting to be accredited.

Materials and the   INEC adhoc staff were not seen until 8.30 when  they arrived the polling units.

Our correspondent who visited some of the polling stations observed that most of voters were seen waiting endlessly without any official of the commission to kick start the process.

At Kofa Gayam open space in Gayam ward, Lafia local government where governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and his wife Dr Mairo Almakura are to vote, no INEC staff was seen until about 9am.
