Election – Voters in their numbers turned up for Saturday’s the Presidential and National Assembly elections at the 001A Ungwar Pashe/Kofar Gidan Sarki Polling Unit, PU, in Karu, Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC.

The unit is where the lawmaker representing the Federal Capital Territory at the National Assembly, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda is expected to cast his ballot.

As early as 7:26 local time, voters thronged the polling unit in patient wait for the arrival of officials of the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC and voting materials.

A Toyata Hiace bus bearing electoral officers and a Hilux Pick Up Van conveying armed police men arrived at exactly 8: 12 AM.

Simultaneous accreditation and voting has commenced, even as some voters have chosen to stay put after voting, in an apparent compliance with the call by the sundry political parties and candidates to monitor and protect their votes.

Senator Aduda was yet to cast his vote as at the time of filing this report.
