The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has lifted ban on Political campaigns.

Disclosing this in a statement, the National Commissioner with the INEC and  Chairman, Committee on Information and Voter Education, Mr Festus Okoye said that the commission has lifted the ban till Thursday 21th February 2019.

Recall that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had insisted that they would reopen their various political campaigns as stipulated in section 99 sub section 1 of the electoral Act.
