Restructuring
By Perez Brisibe
UGHELLI—Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, has described the positions taken by President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on restructuring as decietful, saying it would soon adopt a presidential candidate.
The forum also expressed commitment to restructuring noting that it would only support a candidate who is committed to the restructuring of Nigeria.
Secretary of the forum, Dr. Alfred Mulade, who spoke with Vanguard Monday, applauded the vision of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

President Muhammadu Buhari
His words: “We also know that a few months ago when the ruling party set up a committee headed by Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufia, on restructuring, the committee came up with recommendations. The statement of Mr. President and his deputy showed that whatever they had talked about in terms of restructuring is just a deceit.
“We stand by restructuring. The President said all those asking for restructuring are people who do not know what it is all about. If he said so, he should not expect our support. He does not believe in what we stand for.

“We may be coming out with a formal statement on who PANDEF is supporting. Atiku has all the qualities that PANDEF is looking for in a candidate, and we would come out with a formal statement on our position.
“We invited all the presidential aspirants not just PDP but other aspirants, including the incumbent to appear and interact with us on the subject matter. Some of them appeared before our panel.”
