PORT HAR-COURT— GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike has said that the enmity with his predecessor, who is now the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, was provoked by the latter’s alleged desperation to impose a governor on the state.

Wike: Leading the PDP and Amaechi: APC leader

Wike said this in Port Harcourt yesterday.

His words: “I will not support anyone dictating what will happen in Rivers State. The crisis is a struggle to impose a successor.

“After spending eight years as governor, someone wants to supervise the activities of the state. This is not Lagos State. We are different.

“Everybody, who worked with him is bad. I held the home front when he ran to Ghana on exile and the senator he is fighting worked for him. If everyone who associates with you is bad,  something is fundamentally wrong.”
