The Ndobu quarters in Igbodo community was reportedly disconnected by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC due to unpaid accumulated bills running into some thousands of naira which was paid Dr. Osioma Okobah.

Giving out money for the payment of the bills, she said “it is inhuman for people to stay without light.

“I have to show sympathy to all of you for being in darkness for couple of months now. I was not aware until last Independence day when I visited and I was told that you people were disconnected as a result of unpaid bills. I felt so worried and I was moved to respond in this way, because it is difficult to reach everybody and give money, you people know me, I don’t make empty promises or raise false hopes. But when a community you belong to is in problem or need, you try to help because it’s worrisome.

Okobah however, urged the people to give the credit of her gesture to the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his Prosperity For All Deltans Agenda, saying “you must thank Okowa for giving me the opportunity to serve and for his SMART agenda”.

While calling on the people to support the second term aspiration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, she said “Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is concerned about your wellbeing and prosperity”.
