Executive Director, Business Development, NEXIM Bank, Mrs. Stella Okotete, has described as false, an online publication that she threatened people with thugs during the governorship primary election of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, saying she did not participate in the exercise.

A statement by her Special Assistant, Legal, Ejiro Etaghene, said the publication was aimed at tarnishing her image.

The statement reads: “She was not a delegate and did not participate in the APC governorship primary election. She was in Abuja for a committee inauguration on September 29, 2018, and arrived in Lagos on September 30, 2018. She was not even in Asaba until the evening of the said day.

“Okotete is known for conducting herself responsibly in public, and does not have the physical strength for fights, neither does she own or move around with thugs.

“It is, therefore, laughable to have  accused her of assaulting people with thugs at the governorship primary election that she did not participate in.”
