Akwa Ibom State government led by Gov. Emmanuel Udom is set to further sharpen the state’s creative sector by its massive investment and media exposure promised talented youths in the areas of music, dance and comedy at the forthcoming “Akwa Ibom Talent Showcase”

The event which entry opens 15th October and closes 31st October 2018, is a citizen-oriented initiative of the Governor Emmanuel led administration, which aims to provides opportunities for young artistes from the state to hone their core skills and earn tremendous rewards from highlight performances.

#AksTalentShowcase, according to information made available on the event’s website was themed, a first-of-its-kind performing arts competition that engages the teeming young talents to showcase their natural gifts in Drama, Music, and Dance.

“The entertainment industry is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding unicorns in Nigeria’s economic space and is continuously growing as the major access to how the world views Nigeria.

“AKS Talent Showcase further echoes this conviction by opening the stage for our state-grown creative potentials to demonstrate to the world their true talents, fortitude, capabilities, courage, and worth.

“This is a citizen-oriented initiative of the Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration, provides opportunities for young artistes from the state to hone their core skills and earn tremendous rewards from highlight performances.

“AKS Talent Showcase is facilitating engagements tailored to ignite ambition and courage, pulling together large network of emerging and seasoned Akwa Ibomites in the entertainment industry.
