Ilorin—A House of Representatives member, Aliyu Ahman-Pategi (Edu/Moro/Patigi) has said equity, fairness and justice demand that Kwara North produce the next governor of Kwara State in 2019, stressing that he is the best man for the job.
The lawmaker said: “Already, Kwara has produced the governor in the person of my good friend Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and in addition to the one term of late Mohammed Lawal, from Kwara Central.
“My leader, Dr. Bukola Saraki, also spent two terms of eight years, so by the simple reason of equity, fairness and justice it is the turn of Kwara North, the third zone in the state and from my zone, in terms of maturity, performance and qualities of exemplary leadership, I am best prepared to be supported by all the stakeholders to take over the governorship mantle in 2019.”
In his blueprint, Face of Hope, he promised to restructure government for improved efficiency by always consulting with the people to meet their specific needs.
Ahman added that he would cut the cost of governance and give primary attention to direct labor, stressing that he would ensure skills acquisition for youths in the state.
