Intimidation, desperation and ignorance of the Party’s supremacy at all times were on Friday displayed by supporters of a House of Assembly  aspirant for Anambra east, Barr.Obi Nweke(Elegelede). At the meeting held at Tourist Hotel Aguleri, caution was thrown to the wind as the organisers took turns to lambaste  His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano and APGA publicly.

In what can be best described as “Dancing Naked”, this group of people which included some local government party executives threatened to work against APGA if their preferred aspirant is not given the House of Assembly ticket at the upcoming primary election.

According to one of the female members of the group who spoke at the meeting, “Obiano is our son, and we made him Governor. If he goes against our wish, I will do to him what I did in 2011 when APGA ticket was given to Joy Emordi (Senate), Chinedu Idigo (House of Reps) and Chinelo Mofunanya(House of Assembly)”. Also, one of the speakers at the meeting even addressed the Governor as “Idi Amin”.

Sanity was however restored at the hall after the Transition Committee Chairman for Anambra East, Hon. Pius Ifeadi’s speech.

Hon. Ifeadi who berated the organisers for not inviting him and many other APGA stakeholders to the meeting also cautioned them to desist from using “Dirty Language” publicly against the party, and inciting the public against the Governor.

At the end, the meeting which was orchestrated to raise a communique that will stampede the Governor and APGA leadership into hand picking their preferred aspirant as the Candidate for Anambra East State constituency became too rowdy and closed without a resolution.
