By Perez Brisibe

UGHELLI — ALL Progressives Congress, APC, governorship hopeful in Delta State, Prof. Pat Utomi, weekend, gave reasons why he established his Integrated Produce City, IPC, in Edo State instead of his home state of Delta, noting  that the Delta State Government “prevented the project from coming to life.”

Utomi also disclosed that he was in talks with other investors from within and outside the country towards the establishment of a private Independent Power Plant, IPP, in the state among other developmental programmes.

Utomi who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Integrated Produce City, an agricultural project, which is expected to create at least 30,000 jobs, made the disclosure at Ughelli, headquarters of Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state at a town hall meeting with a cross section of youths from the three senatorial districts in the state.

The APC chieftain also lamented the state of medical facilities in the state, particularly Asaba, the state capital, stressing that apart from the Federal Medical Centre in the state, residents of Asaba would prefer going to Anambra State for medical services owing to the poor state of hospitals in the state.
