Army on Operation Python Dance

ABUJA—A plan by Boko Haram terrorists to attack Malari village in Borno State was foiled, weekend, by troops of 222 Battalion, Operation Lafia Dole.
The Nigerian Army in a statement yesterday by its spokesman, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, said two of the terrorists were gunned down during the ambush, while others fled into the bush.
The statement read thus:” Troops of 222 Battalion deployed in Operation Lafiya Dole, on August 2, while on ambush operation around Malari village, Borno State, neutralised two Boko Haram terrorists while others fled into the bush.
“10 bicycles were recovered from the terrorists during the encounter. The public is hereby advised to report any suspicious movements or activities to security agents for necessary action.”
