YENAGOA— SCORES of youths from Sagbama constituency I,  Bayelsa State opposed to the alleged third term ambition of the lawmaker representing the area,  Mr Peter Akpe, yesterday, staged a peaceful protest calling on him to jettison the idea.

Akpe from Ebedebiri community,  who is also the Leader of the House, is currently serving his second tenure.

The constituency is made up of six communities, namely Ofoni, Angalabiri, Toru Orua, Ebedebiri, Angiama and Bolu Orua.

The youths, armed with placards with different inscriptions, in the early hours of yesterday,  marched to the Government House gate in Yenagoa to express their grievances.

They urged the lawmaker to jettison his third term ambition and respect the zoning arrangement in the area in the interest of justice, fairness and equity.

Though, the lawmaker could not be reached for comment, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, source from the area dismissed the claim of the protesters, saying there was no zoning arrangement and as such House membe was at liberty to re-contest at the forthcoming party primaries.
