NATIONAL ASEMBLY

Operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS have just been withdrawn from laying siege at the National Assembly.

Briefing newsmen Wednesday in Lagos, President of the forum, Mr. Abubakar Yesufu described the sacking of the Director General, Department of State Security Services, DSS, Mr. Lawal Daura by Osinbajo as a patriotic move.

His words: “The sack was long overdue. The Acting President is a true hero of democracy, separation of power and civil liberties, as enshrined in the constitution. Daura had been an albatross and a serious liability to the Buhari administration on crucial matters such as the $43.4million recovered at Osborne Tower Ikoyi Lagos, non-confirmation of Acting  Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, disrespect of  court orders on Sambo Dasuki and Ibrahim El – Zak Zaky, detention of a journalist, Jones Abiri, unauthorised deployment of operatives for string operations against Supreme Court judges, alleged interference in the affairs of security agencies, especially EFCC and romance with  National Assembly officials among others.’’
