Special Assistant, Political, to the Governor of Delta State, Mr. Godwin Masah, has resigned his position to contest Burutu North Constituency, state House of Assembly, with a promise to bring back Burutu to its days of glory.

Masah, who made the disclosure at a stakeholders meeting for all aspirants in Burutu town, headquarters of Burutu Local Govern-ment Area of the state, said his resignation was in fulfillment of the 2019 electoral time table and guidelines of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for elective positions as it affects political appointees.
He said “Ahead of the forth coming PDP primary election for state House of Assembly aspirants, I need to resign from my appointment to show to my teeming supporters across Burutu North Constituency that I am serious and ready to clinch the PDP ticket.”
Masah told the congregation that he is contesting Burutu North seat to ensure the people enjoy dividends of democracy through proper execution of constituency projects and proposition of bills that will positively affect the people.
