NNEWI— INTERNATIONAL Society for the Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, Intersociety, has picked holes with the Inspector General of Police, IGP’s,   11 Point Police Special Anti Robbery Squad SARS, Reform, in line with Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo directive for its overhaul.

Intersociety in a statement titled, “New Bottle, Old Wine”, signed by its board chairman, Comrade Emeka Umeagbalasi and the Head Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, Obianuju Igboeli, called on Nigerians and members of the international community not to be deceived by the call for Police reforms, but to insist on comprehensive reforms for the entire Police force.

According to Intersociety,  “Any comprehensive and acceptable Police or Police SARS reform in Nigeria must be that done by an independent committee of experts with their recommendations popularly evaluated and approved by the Federal Executive Council in addition to the governors’ inputs.”
