LAGOS—No fewer than 100,000 persons benefited from the food materials donated and distributed by Nigeria Tulip International Colleges Foundation, NTIC,for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Mr. Behlul Basaran, Coordinator of the foundation in a statement, yesterday, explained that the gift items were part of the corporate social responsibility of the foundation to felicitate with the beneficiaries across 20 states of the federation.
Over 350 cows were slaughtered by the foundation, while other food items were distributed to people in more than 20,000 communities on Sallah day.
Various Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camps located in Borno, Sokoto, Adamawa, Kano, and Abuja, Niger and other parts the country were among the beneficiaries of the food materials distributed.
Basaran during the exercise revealed that the foundation had been donating such items since inception 2013.
He said: “Every year, we try to put smiles on less privileged people, the needy, most especially those living in IDPs. Our Moto is ‘Lets Smile Together.’ Celebrating Sallah is only good when everybody is happy. How can we do that. Every festival we put smiles on the faces of less privileged, those in IDPs, and the needy.”
